Introduction to Spinning
Learn how to select and prepare a fleece for spinning. Teasing, carding, washing spinning and plying will be covered. Everyone will be given a wheel to use during the class, and clean prepared fleece to learn to spin with. No prior experience necessary.

Adventures in Spinning
Learn how to do long draw for speed spinning, as well as how to spin different fibers like angora rabbit, flax, silk,& alpaca. Fancy plying techniques will be taught to make boucle and slub yarns.

Plant Dye Talk
Learn the basics of turning the plants of the summer into colors for this fall's sweaters! A slide show and basic instruction will be covered. Participants will receive a copy of Joli's booklet: Dyes From Plants which will give them techniques and recipes for dying with everything from indigo to marigolds.
